Café Reconcile

Food & Drink · New Orleans, LA

A New Orleans institution since 2000, Café Reconcile is a nonprofit restaurant in Central City that provides paid culinary workforce training and personal development for at-risk youth ages 16–24. Led by a Black CEO and chef, 100% of restaurant profits fund interns' stipends and training. The menu features classic New Orleans soul food made from scratch — including fried chicken, blackened catfish, red beans and rice, and the award-winning Bananas Foster Bread Pudding — alongside healthy Creole dishes. Featured in The New York Times' 50 Restaurants We're Excited About.
