Founded by sculptor and designer Morgan Thomas in Queens, New York, Yam is a Black-owned, sustainable, genderless jewelry brand named as an ode to Thomas's late mother, who first introduced her to jewelry-making. Yam creates playful, nostalgic, made-to-order pieces embracing nature motifs, pearl accents, upcycled/recycled materials, and industrial metal elements. Featured in NY Times, Vogue, InStyle, Cosmopolitan, Bazaar, and ELLE. Lizzo wore Yam earrings in the 'Good As Hell' music video.
