Founded by Ashley Alexis McFarlane in Toronto, Canada, Omi Woods is a Black-owned fine jewelry brand honoring Jamaican-Ashanti-Maroon cultural heritage through contemporary heirlooms made from fair-trade African gold and globally sourced, conflict-free fine metals. 'Omi' means water in Yoruba; together with 'Woods,' the name pays tribute to McFarlane's heritage and her late grandmother Doreen Salmon, who taught her jewelry-making as a child.
